Once a month the grounds of the former Wollert primary school at 455 Epping Road, Wollert, blossom into a hive of activity. From dawn stallholders begin setting up marquees and tables displaying locally grown produce, handmade jams and cakes, toys, books and a variety of crafts. Whether you are among the first through the gates when the market opens at eight o’clock or prefer to arrive a little later, you are sure to enjoy the experience. After wandering around and picking up a bargain or finding a truly unique, handcrafted gift, you can visit the market café and food court. There you can it down and enjoy a freshly made coffee on the deck behind the historical bluestone building, overlooking the adjoining farmland and within view of the children’s playground.

All of our creations can be purchased empty, or the option to have your new creations planted.

The planted option is only available for local delivery for a charge of $15.00 or you can pick up [pick up is High Wycombe, WA].

All of our plants are carefully selected from local growers and nurseries. Your plant will vary due to stock availability.

All our creations are hand poured, sanded and the inside sealed using a premium concrete sealer. They also come with a drainage hole and filter.

Remember that each creation is made with love and as individual as you therefore your finished product may vary from piece to piece. All creations range between $20 and $40.

The organic nature of concrete means that no two pieces are the same so you will always own a Old Man George original. Variations in the texture make for an unpredictable finish… and we love that.

Cosima Sommer, from Germany was studying in Sri Lanka and doing an internship. Cosima wanted a colourful jacket for herself and met Bandu who helped her make her unique and individual one off jacket design. Bandu started production in partnership with Cosima and since they stated has been able to employ ten more people in a small village called Kandana in Sri Lanka.

Emma is a trained Social Worker from Australia and was living in Germany. Emma spotted the jackets through a mutual friend. There the venture started to being these jackets to Australia and New Zealand.

Harmonicandles uses 100% pure locally made soy wax. Unlike most wax (beeswax used for over 1,000 years is an animal product) Soy wax is made from pure oil of soybeans making it a vegetable wax.
After harvesting the beans, they are then cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated (convert fatty acids in oil from unsaturated to saturated) Leftover bean husks are used for animal feed.

I am a designer pattern maker and make hand made clothing. Each garment is a unique piece designed for your enjoyment and daily wear.

myz started as an idea while searching for hats for Gemma’s own children. She wanted quality hats that only used natural fibres, looked great, were unisex and functional. Having not been able to find what she wanted, she took over her kitchen table in Richmond, Melbourne and set about creating myz hats.
Gemma’s background as a patternmaker gave her a fighting chance of creating something to be proud of – but she admits today that the work she has put into her hats is much more than originally anticipated!
Absolutely hating waste in all its forms, it was important to Gemma to design her hats in expectation that they will be passed onto siblings or friends. And so you will see no compromise on quality, with each aspect of the design and materials carefully thought through. Gender neutral colours are also a key design principle for Gemma, as is sustainability. The hats are made of cotton and/or linen which are breathable, stylish and will keep heads cool in Australian hot summers.
Sun protection is provided to the ears and face and the hats are fully adjustable with studs at the back. The neck strap keeps the hat on your child’s head without being restrictive or tight – no more losing hats in the park!

Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre’s much loved annual Kris Kringle Night Market returns for a limited season this December over two Thursday evenings. Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre’s heritage hall provides a perfect background for this festive event with over 40 stalls exclusively selling locally designed and handcrafted items. The market will also coincide with Thursday night trading along the High Street strip, making Northcote a one-stop destination for Christmas shopping.

The Kris Kringle Night Market has become a go-to for unique and meaningful Christmas gifts. Established to showcase and support our vibrant arts and makers community, the market features the very best local artisans and craftspeople selling fashion, textiles, kids’ items, illustrations, homewares, jewellery, candles, prints, woodcrafts, ceramics, plants and more.

The market is a great night out for the whole family. There will be free live entertainment each week, and free face painting for the kids. Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre’s licensed bar will be operating throughout the season and quick meal options will be available on site, allowing you to bring the kids and unwind while you shop for that genuinely unique Christmas gift.

The Friends of PEGS is the parent association of the Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School. The Craft Market is our signature fundraising event for the year, attracting over 5,000 visitors at the Essendon campus.
